While scouting locations for my timelapse workshop coming up this weekend I bumped into my good friend, Mike Taylor, as he was teaching a workshop on June 17, 2015, 01:45 AM. The top of Cadillac Mountain was completely clouded over, but about half way down the Milky Way became visible between layers of fog. We took a few photos here before it also quickly clouded over and we moved on.
Nikon D810, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, & Promote Control @ 14mm, f/2.8, 3550°K, and two blended exposures of ISO 5000, 25 seconds for the Milky Way and ISO 2000, 4 minutes for the ground.
