On the weekend of 2013-09-06 to 09 I met up with Chris Georgia, Garrett Evans, Jared Blash, and Mike Taylor to spend some time camping and shooting the night sky along Maine's Bold Coast.

I took this 200-megapixel panorama of Little River in Cutler, Maine on September 9, 2013, 6:10 – 6:14 PM during “golden hour” before sunset with a manual panning head. I liked the old fishing shack and boats in the shade contrasting with the distant trees lit up by the low sun. Little River Ledge is left of center with a fishing boat beyond it, and Little River Island to the right. Little River Lighthouse is on the opposite side of the island from this angle.
Camera settings: 200mm, f/8, ISO 200, 1/100 second
Stitching data: 11 columns x 3 rows, 60° field of view. The finished panorama is 23,550 x 8,475 @ 240dpi or 98” x 35” if printed full size.
Equipment used: Nikon D700, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II, Promote Control, and Really Right Stuff TVC-34L tripod w/ leveling base & manual pano/gimbal head. RAW conversion in Lightroom, stitched with PTGui Pro.
