Katahdin Stream Falls

Katahdin Stream Falls is an 80ft waterfall located on Hunt Trail, the last leg of the Appalachian Trail, on Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine. It is about a 1.2 mile hike from Katahdin Stream Campground. I climbed out on a fallen tree and rock in the middle of the falls to shoot a 360° panorama. The full sphere is 208 megapixels and can be explored here:

Camera settings: 14mm, f/9, ISO 64, and three exposures of 1/20, 1/5, & 0.8 seconds.

Stitching data: 2 rows of 6 images plus 1 offset nadir x 3 exposures for a total of 39 images.

Equipment used: Nikon D850, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, and Really Right Stuff TVC-34L tripod & pano/gimbal head. RAW conversion via Lightroom, tonemapped with Photomatix, aligned via PTGui, and manually blended via masks in Photoshop.
