Matthew Parks and I caught up with Aaron Rigsby at Acadia National Park while he was in Maine. I shot this 51.8% illuminated moon at Sand Beach with a 70-200mm f/2.8 telephoto and 2x teleconverter for an effective focal length of 400mm. I like shooting the moon when part of it is in darkness to get more definition in the craters and a better sense of the depth and height of them.
