The handwarmer I’d wrapped to the lens to prevent dew fell off shortly after I went inside, so the fog on the lens ruined this attempt at a timelapse of the Milky Way. It was still a good practice run though for camera settings.
Nikon D700, 14-24mm f/2.8, auto exposure with manual exposure compensation ramping for the first clip (still too much flicker without automated control), then 45 seconds in bulb mode, ISO 3200, f/2.8 for each image in the second clip. Ten second increments between images.
I recommend watching in Hi-Def or Mid-Def instead of FullHD unless you have a very large screen and a very fast Internet connection!
